In this webinar two attached school teachers, one from Phnom Penh Teacher Education College<\/em> (PTEC) and Battambang Teacher Education College<\/em> (BTEC), share their journey their experiences and discuss the key lessons learned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the first Lesson Study cycle of the JICA-IMPULS Effort in Establishing school-wide Lesson Study using the Collaborative Lesson Research (CLR) model, Phnom Penh Teacher Education College<\/em> (PTEC) and Battambang Teacher Education College<\/em> (BTEC) will conduct the first set of research lessons in January 2025. Those research lessons are based on the research lesson proposals developed by a team of university lecturers and attached school teachers during the three-week intensive sessions before the new school year begins in November 2024. The teachers finalize their research lesson proposals after the new school year begins and teach their first research lessons as their school-wide professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Akihiko Takahashi <\/strong>(United States\/Japan) is a member of the International Math-teacher Professionalization Using Lesson Study<\/em> (IMPULS) and a member of the Lesson Study Alliance, who supports the S-TEC project by guiding them to establish school-wide CLR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MOEURN<\/strong> Nary<\/strong> is a grade 1 teacher at the primary school attached to the Phnom Penh Teacher Education College who teaches the school’s first research lesson in mathematics. The topic of the research lesson is \u201cUse subtraction to find the difference between two numbers\u201d for Grade 1 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOEURN Udom <\/strong>is a grade 2 teacher at the primary school attached to the Battambang Teacher Education College who teaches the school’s first research lesson in science. The topic of the research lesson is \u201cDescribe objects that magnify and do not magnify properly through experiments\u201d for Grade 2 students.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
