{"id":2866,"date":"2023-03-18T16:27:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-18T08:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.walsnet.org\/?p=2866"},"modified":"2023-03-18T16:27:00","modified_gmt":"2023-03-18T08:27:00","slug":"impuls-mathematics-lesson-study-course-july-10-12-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/morphmatters.com\/wals-theme-2\/impuls-mathematics-lesson-study-course-july-10-12-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"IMPULS mathematics lesson study course July 10-12, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.impuls-tgu.org\/en\/\">IMPULS<\/a> (International Math-teacher Professionalization Using Lesson Study) has offered a mathematics lesson study immersion program in Japan for a decade, and recently began offering an online course.&nbsp; Taught by Akihiko Takahashi and Tad Watanabe, the course is designed for local teams of up to 10 educators, including two representatives from each team who participate in the 6-8 hour synchronous course. The course immerses participants in a full lesson study cycle, focused on a \u201cTeaching Through Problem-solving\u201d style lesson. The two representatives in the synchronous elements work directly with the instructors and 30 synchronous course participants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course will be held July 10-12, 2023 and the cost is <strong>$1000 per team for WALS members<\/strong>, with synchronous participation available for two members.&nbsp; You can register by July 1, 2023.
