The Faculty of Education (University of\nMalta) has officially launched CLeStuM<\/a> (www.clestum.eu<\/a>), a website which aims to support Maltese\nprimary and secondary schools introducing Lesson Study. Lesson Study is a\ncontinuing professional development initiative for all educators. CLeStuM<\/a> is full of information, resources and\nexemplars of lesson studies carried out in Maltese schools over the past two\nyears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Faculty of Education initiative is\nled by Dr James Calleja<\/a> in collaboration with\nDr Michelle Attard Tonna<\/a> and Dr Michael\nBuhagiar<\/a>.\nOur aim is to support schools in Malta to learn about, initiate and sustain\ncollaborative lesson study. We visit schools to hold discussions with school\nleadership teams and teachers interested in lesson study. While we introduce\nschools to lesson study, we also provide ongoing support. We believe that\nsupport is crucial for teachers to understand the lesson study process, and\nhence to design teach and evaluate their lessons. The support we offer includes\nface-to-face meetings and observations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
